Art Criticism
Once we talk about the 3 Aesthetic Theories we talk about Artists goals in making their art: Formalism (Good Design), Emotionalism (Art Gets a Reaction from the viewer and Imitationalism (Literal Qualites of the Real World). We can judge an artwork in how the artist supported the message of their work in their use of elements of design.
in class we do the TAG model of art criticism. We ask the artist to Tell is about their artwork. We Ask questions to figure out their goal. As we asked these questions or analyzing their artwork to support their goal. We then Give suggestions to help that artist artwork support their goal as well. Success and a artwork is an artist meeting their goal and have it clearly stated
