TAB Teaching for Artistic Behavior
and Standards
Teaching for Artistic Behavior is choice based in nature. It builds up students with learning how to express ideas and themes of their own. Skills are taught and explored but the main project is the students genuine response. They are taught to think like artists not passive art students. Ian Sands has developed nine themes that artists use for inspiration as well as nine subject matters as thematic units. TAB supports national standards and higher thinking.

Responding, Connecting, Creating, and Presenting

Inspiration, Development, Creation and Reflection.
